What is PrEP?

Pre-exposure prophylaxis is abbreviated as PrEP, for people who are at risk for HIV take medication everyday to prevent HIV. PrEP prevents HIV from spreading throughout your body, it is highly effective when used daily. The CDC reports that among those who are at risk for contracting HIV from sex, PrEP is 99% effective and among injection drug uses, it reduces the risk by 74% (for those who take the pill daily) (CDC, 2013).

We are excited to announce that we will be offering PrEP and birth control through our Safely Health platform in 2020. Please check back for details.
